EUROPE 2016 | VIDEO

May-June 2016.

I’ve only just unpacked and taken the left over pound and euro coins out of my wallet. After a whirlwind 3 weeks in Europe I'm still trying to catch my breathe since being home.

I haven’t made it to Europe before this point. It’s always been on the list although never quite at the top. With friends currently fleeing to that side of the world, and a few more going over to visit there was no time like now, I thought I’d tag along.

Although I nearly didn’t get on the plane to begin with after converting my first bundle of cash. I nearly cried, the Pound and Euro nearly killing this economic Aussie traveller - Worth it.

On the approach to Heathrow, it was stunning to see the Thames from above. There was London staring back at me. A little jolt of excitement seemed to flow from my stomach I had to contain the little squeal that wanted to come out. Beginning in London, with a stop over in Paris, moving back and forth between London between finding my way to Greece and a meal in Berlin.

Public transport all round was quite the highlight, my favourite souvenir was my oyster card from London. Made feeling at home a lot more easier. The late summer nights, did not help my jet lag, sun setting past 9:00pm at night for some reason confused the hell out of me. Shoutout to Qatar airways. with whom I flew to and from with. I can see why they are rated as the No.1 airline at the moment. Maybe it was more that on the flight back it was pretty much empty, with each passenger pretty much having an entire row to themselves, practically first class, spread out and having the leisure to play Deadpool on all 3 screens in my row just cause I could, the economy travellers dream.
